NATCHEZ — Services for Lawrence Wallace Wesley, 81, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at Grace Health & Rehab Center in Slaughter, La., will be at 2 p.m. today at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Tidwell officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Wesley was born March 20, 1932, in Jackson, La., the son of Charles Edmond Wesley and Mildred Cornelia Rogillio.

He was retired from Illinois Central Railroad. Mr. Wesley liked to hunt but most of all he loved his Lord, Immanuel Baptist Church and his family. He was a deacon at Immanuel Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 51 years, Marie Beard Wesley; two brothers, Wayne and Warren Wesley; two sisters, Hazel Curry and Myrta Mae Wesley; one nephew, Charles Langlois; and a devoted friend, R.W. Thomae.

Survivors include two sisters, Winnie Langlois of Newman, Ga. and Margret Love of Lake Charles, La.; one brother, Percy Wesley of Jackson, La.; several nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a devoted friend, Dot Thomae.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Immanuel Baptist Church.
