Mr. Harried was born March 7, 1964, in Natchez, the son of Marion Harried Sr. and Hattie Bell Reynolds-Harried.

His educational journey began and was completed at the Jefferson County School District. He has a spirit of laughter, wit, and was creative in giving fond nicknames to those he loved.

At an early age, Ivan embarked on a road that paved a way for his salvation. It was on this road that he made a confession and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He was baptized and united with the Rose Hill No. 2 Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. Robert Thompson.
