Terrilos Purnell of Natchez announces the engagement of her daughter, Lakisha Anderson to Davin Thomas, son of David and Bruenett Thomas of Canton.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.

She is the granddaughter of the late Dorothy Tucker and the late Lee and Dorothy Anderson, all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School in Madison and is also a graduate of USM in Hattiesburg. He is employed by Grambling State University in Grambling, La.

He is the grandson of Hattie Watts of Canton and Albert Thomas, also of Canton.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Greater Sims Chapel in Canton.

A reception will follow at The Anderson Lodge.
