Rodney and Gail Smith of Ferriday proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebekah Smith to Kelly Moore, son of Lance and Debra Moore of Ridgecrest.

The bride-to-be is employed by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Work Release in Vidalia.

She is the granddaughter of Lawrence Smith and the late Vera Smith and Walter Mallard and the late Betty Mallard, all of Ferriday.

The groom-to-be is employed by the Concordia Parish Correctional Facility in Ferriday.

He is the grandson of Al and Jerry Moore of Lake Charles, La., and Cledous and Shirley Abernathy of Vidalia.

The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Ferriday.

A reception will follow at the Concordia Parish Community Center on Louisiana 15 in Ferriday.
