GLOSTER — Services for Ruby Lee Robinson, 84, of Gloster, who died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Gloster with the Rev. Robert Veal officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Robinson was born Feb. 10, 1928, in Gloster, the daughter of Wiley Norman and Ola Seaberry. She was the oldest mother in the church serving of the Mother Board at Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Mrs. Robinson enjoyed cooking, sharing with others and serving others. She was well known for her fried chicken.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tommie Robinson; one son, Carl Michael Robinson; one grandson, Eric Dewayne Robinson; one daughter-in-law, Edna Robinson; four sisters, Edna Edwards, Gloria Wesco, Sallie Harris and Katie Seaberry; and one brother, Joe Louis Seaberry.
Survivors include two loving daughters, Dorothy Pickett and husband, Arthur, of Meadville and Lynda Weatherspoon and husband, Jerry, of McComb; five devoted sons, Thomas Robinson, Willie Earl Robinson, both of Gloster, Charlie Robinson and wife, Alvina, of New Orleans, Jimmy Wayne Robinson of Metairie, La., and Larry Robinson and wife, Polly, of Byram; one daughter-in-law, Rajvalla Robinson of Mason, Ohio; two sisters, Merlee Seaberry and Mamie Washington; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a special dedicated friend and caregiver, Edna Harvey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
