NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Christine Renee Lamb Beltzhoover, of Natchez, who died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at the University Medical Center in Jackson after a battle with breast cancer, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at her husband’s historic family home, Green Leaves, in Natchez.

There will also be a visitation for family and friends at 1 p.m. today followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. in the chapel at First Baptist Church in Greenville.

Mrs. Beltzhoover was born Nov. 27, 1962, in Mildenhall, England. She was raised in Greenville, but also lived a lot of her life in Memphis, Tenn., Columbus and Jackson.

Renee graduated high school in Greenville and earned a degree from the University of Mississippi. Renee had a long and distinguished career as a self-employed court reporter. More recently, she served in hotel management for a number of years with Cabot Lodge Millsaps in Jackson and the Natchez Manor in Natchez. During the last years of her life, Renee met and married her true love, Mel Beltzhoover, and moved to Natchez. She enjoyed spending time with her husband at Green Leaves.

Renee was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Julian Lamb and Sylvia Lamb.

Survivors include her husband, Melchior R. Beltzhoover III; one sister, Angela Lamb Phillips and husband, Scott, of Greenville; one brother, Clayton Ruthven Lamb of Reno, Nev.; four nieces, Courtney Phillips, Jordan Phillips, Sydney Lamb and Avery Lamb; one nephew, Hayden Phillips; her biological father, Roger Bogard; and her beloved dog, Maddie.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.
