JENA, La. — Even though the Block Bears went into their game at Jena undefeated and ranked No. 9 in Class 1A, they were no match for the Class 3A Giants in a 37-8 loss Friday night.

Jena improved to 3-0 overall while Block, coming off wins over Vidalia and Ferriday to start the season, dropped to 2-1 overall. The Bears look to get back on the winning track next Friday when they host Rayville at 7 p.m.
