Russell Jordan and Julia Hugg, both of Vidalia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Alicia L. Jordan to John T. Switzer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Switzer of Natchez, Mr. Delton Spring of Franklin County and the late Mrs. Hilda Spring.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez. She is employed by Natchez Regional Medical Center.

She is the granddaughter of Ms. Geraldine Smith, the late Mr. James E. Smith, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams and the late Mr. Marvin Jordan, all of Vidalia.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Franklin County High School in Meadville. He is employed by AT&T in Natchez.

He is the grandson of Irene Switzer of Baton Rouge and the late Glenn E. Switzer Sr., and the late Arley and Gean Thompson of Clayton.

The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at The Vue Hotel in Natchez.
