FERRIDAY — Services for Catherine Micheau, 79, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Louis Sklar officiating.

Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today with a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Micheau was born Feb. 12, 1933, in McComb, the daughter of Charles Ray and Gertrude Delaughter. She was a cafeteria cook with the Concordia Parish School System and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Mrs. Micheau was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Micheau Sr.; her parents; one daughter, Joyce McClain; and one son, Roland Micheau Jr.

Survivors include three sons, David Micheau and wife, Cindy, of Gilliam, La., Ray Micheau and wife, Dee, of St. Joseph and Glenn Micheau and wife, Patsy, of Monterey; eight grandchildren, Stefani Micheau of Dallas, Eddie Stevens of Blanchard, La., April Micheau of Monroe, Brittney Micheau of Gilliam, Kimberly Pounds of Ridgecrest, Garrett Micheau of Ruston, La., Corey Jones of Flora and Chris Jones of Sterlington, La.; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
