NATCHEZ — Services for Alice Farris Hargett, 82, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ed Wright officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Additional services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Fulton at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Barry Male and the Rev. Kristen Schrickel officiating.

Burial will follow at Dorsey Cemetery under the direction of Senter Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hargett was born Dec. 3, 1929, in Itawamba County, the daughter of James H. Farris and Eula N. Farris. She married Winfred B. Hargett Feb. 22, 1946, in Tremont. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Natchez until her health failed.

Mrs. Hargett was a member of the Praise Sunday School Class and volunteered in the extended nursery for more than 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four sisters, Ruth Fears, Ruby Davis, Beulah Fears and Ressie Thompson; and three brothers, Roy Farris, Marvin Farris and J.R. Farris.

Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer H. Beam and husband, Mike; one grandson, Thomas Beam, all of New Albany; and one brother, Clifton Farris and wife, Odean, of Fulton.
