SHREVEPORT, La. — Services for Quida Patricia Driggers Price, 82, of Shreveport, La., who died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, after a lengthy illness, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Broadmoor Baptist Church Memorial Chapel with Dr. Tom Harrison and Dr. Larry Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery at West 70th Street and Meriwether Road under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mrs. Price was born Oct. 21, 1929, in Daingerfield, Texas, the daughter of William E. and Sarah C. Driggers. She was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and an active and dedicated servant of the Lord.
Quida was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She has left an abundance of love and fond memories to her family and all who had the good fortune to have known her.
Quida was a faithful Christian and spent a number of her years volunteering her service to her church as well as other organizations. She served God on the mission field in Zimbabwe, Africa as the hostess of the Welcome House for the Louisiana Baptist Mission Association. In addition, she served alongside the medical mission staff in the bush while her husband drilled water wells.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles E. Price; one brother, Bill Driggers; and one son, Kelly W. Price.
Survivors include one sister, Jeanie Walker of Kilgore, Texas; two daughters, Kathy Kassouf and husband, Raymond, of Houston, Texas and Connie Sayers and husband, Carl, of Vidalia; six grandchildren, Shanna Sullivan, Casey Sayers, Kellie Ann, Candy, Charlie and Christian Price; and a number of great-grandchildren.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to the staff of Camelot Nursing Home for their kind-hearted care for Quida over the last few years.
