WESSON — Chandler Rogers managed to find Joe Craig Jr. on a 15-yard touchdown pass just in time to allow the Copiah-Lincoln Community College football team to escape with a victory Thursday night.

Craig Jr. pulled in the touchdown with just 57 seconds left to play in the contest between the Wolfpack and Jones County, and Co-Lin hung on to win 33-29.

Rogers finished the game with 332 yards passing on 30 completions and three touchdowns.

Marquis Hayes was Rogers’ main target. He finished with four catches for 137 yards and a touchdown.

The Wolfpack jumped out to a 16-0 lead before Jones County clawed its way back in the game and took a 29-26 lead into the final minute of the game.

Co-Lin improved to 4-1 on the season and will face Itawamba Thursday.
