NATCHEZ — An Entergy power line broke Friday afternoon near the Isle of Capri Hotel, leaving 1,100 downtown residents in the dark for a couple of hours.

Natchez Entergy Customer Service Manager Tim Runnels said Friday evening a connector on a power line broke causing two circuits to lose power.

Runnels said as of 7 p.m., power to all but 86 customers had been restored.
