SICILY ISLAND — Services for Loma Dean Guice, 80, of Sicily Island, who died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro, will be at 2 p.m. today at Pine Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Clois Cole and the Rev. Charles Rutledge officiating. The Rev. Ernie Reeves will deliver the eulogy and Bro. James Gass and Carlo Sciaro will provide the music.

Burial will follow at New Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Guice was born Sept. 22, 1932, in Sicily Island, the son of John Fielding and Mary Janie Langston Guice. He was a bleach plant operator and a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Guice was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, Friley Guice, Herd Guice, Lester Guice, Eloise Guice Monroe and Muriel Guice Well.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Pug Guice; one daughter, Elizabeth Susanne Delhoste and husband, Eddie, of Rayville, La.; one son, Loma Dewayne Guice and wife, Jackie, of Harrisonburg, La.; five grandchildren, Crystal Guice, Vickie Guice, Miranda White, Nicki Delhoste Fryer and husband, John Randall, Mark Edward Delhoste and wife, Frances Gardner Delhoste; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joe Wells, Chuck Smith, Kenneth Monroe, Walter “Pot” Krause, Mark Delhoste, Greg Guice and Danny Walston.
