Mr. and Mrs. Robert Applegate of Ferriday announce the engagement of their daughter, Nancy Jo Hanna Applegate to Walter Ingram Clingon, son of Mr. Will Clingon and Ms. Monique Guillot of Biloxi.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Mississippi College in Clinton. She is currently studying at Louisiana State University for a master’s degree and is employed by LSU as a teacher’s assistant in Spanish.

She is the granddaughter of Ms. Gloria Roberts and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Applegate. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. U.B. Evans of Haphazard Plantation.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Mississippi College and is currently employed by St. Patrick High School in Biloxi.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Clingon and the late Dr. and Mrs. Walter Guillot.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at the home of the bride’s parents in Ferriday.

A reception will immediately follow.

Family and friends are invited.

The couple will live in Gulfport.
