CLAYTON — Services for Ethel Lee Beverly, 89, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. today at St. Mark Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayton under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Beverly was born March 15, 1923, in Wenneway Plantation, La., the daughter of Tom and Sadie Butcher. She was a member of the Willing Workers.
Mrs. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Betty Wilbert and Debra Blake; and four sisters, Gertrude Brown, Josephine Turner, Doris Mitchell and Bertha Samuels.
Survivors include nine children, Rose Beverly, Verna Smith, Yvonne Robertson, Strawder Beverly and wife, Deloris, Terry Beverly, Johnny Beverly, all of Bloomington, Ill., Carrie Robinson of Douglasville, Ga., Willie Beverly Jr. and wife, Ida, of Santa Monica, Calif., and Jerry Beverly and wife, Dawn, of Antioch, Calif.; 43 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
