NATCHEZ — Services for Alice Ruth Ligon Grennell, 92, who died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Hospice Ministries, Inc., in Ridgeland, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwight Ligon Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Watkins Street Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Grennell was born May 22, 1920, in Jackson, the daughter of James Ligon and Alberta Reed. She was a graduate of Brumfield High School. She was retired from the Natchez Pecan Factory and was a lifelong member of Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, William Lyles.

Survivors include three children, Ruth Lyles, Edrena McElroy and husband, Robert, and Dwight Ligon Sr. and wife, Pamela; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-grandson; and other relatives and friends.
