Malinda Nations of Vidalia announces the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Beverly Nations Kimball to John H. Cooper Jr., son of John and Regina Cooper also of Vidalia.

The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Alvin Nations Jr. of Vidalia.

She is a graduate of Vidalia High School and a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of Alvin and Oreva Nations of Silver Creek and the late Elmer and Ella Smith of Vidalia.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Bakersfield High School in Bakersfield, Calif., and is self-employed.

He is the grandson of Doyle and Addie Cooper of Vidalia and the late William Earl and Evelyn Cavin of Wilkinson County.

The wedding will be at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at the gazebo on the Natchez bluff.

A reception will follow at the Vidalia Convention Center in the Jim Bowie Room.
