VIDALIA — Funeral services for Lorene Johnson McMahon, 88 of Natchez, who died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, in Ferriday, will be 3 p.m. today at Vidalia Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at Vidalia Presbyterian Church from 2 p.m. until time of services.
Mrs. McMahon was born on June 27, 1924, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Charles Marion and Sallie McPhate Johnson. She graduated as salutatorian of her class at Fayette High School. She attended MSCW in Columbus. She was a legal secretary and a bookkeeper for Ricks Lumber Company in Natchez for 35 Years. She retired to become a caregiver and was a devoted wife to her husband, Charles O. McMahon, until his death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one son, John Taylor McMahon.
Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Myers and husband, Jimmy, of Lake Concordia, Kathleen Brown of Lake St. John, Betty Flowers and husband, Ronnie, of Raymond, and Ethel Nelson and husband, Van, of Braxton; one sister, Rose Marie Vestal of Vidalia; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two nieces and four nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jay Myers, Timmy Harrell, Craig Flowers, Cody Barr, Justin Barr and Doug Netterville Jr.
