NATCHEZ — Services for Fred Glennville Chapman, 63, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at his residence, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Crosspoint Church with the Rev. Ken Sifford and the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mr. Chapman was born May 24, 1949, in Chicago, the son of Irvin Carl Chapman and Julia Shupe Chapman.
He was a member of Crosspoint Church and was pastor of the youth ministry. Mr. Chapman was an ordained minister with the Church of God in Anderson, Ind. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served in the National Guard. He was past scout master of Troop 170 at Community Chapel Church of God. Mr. Chapman’s heart was with youth ministry.
Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Hagan and husband, Tony; one son, Adam Chapman; two grandchildren, Christopher and Ethan Hagan; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Elaine Parker Hagan; his mother, Julia Chapman; one sister, Millie Burke; one brother, Mike Chapman; three nephews, Richard Burke Jr., Davis Chapman, and Aleksandr Chapman; one niece, Ana Chapman; a special cousin, John Lamar Woodward.
Pallbearers will be Tony Hagan, James Gass, Kevin Bandy, Ruston Cavin, Marshall Trisler and Richard Burke Sr.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Lamar Woodward, Harley Loy, Hugh Pearson, Nolan Cavin, M. L. Miller, Crosspoint Church youth and men.
