NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Nolan Gandelman Bass, 82, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, in Natchez, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Natchez National Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Comer Funeral Home Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Bass was born March 7, 1930, the son of Henry N. and Zelma Castles Bass

Mr. Bass was a lifelong resident of Ferriday and was retired from Johns Mansville Corp. He served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman

Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include sons, Nolan D. Bass and wife, Marina, of Roxie, Dallas Bass of Sicily Island, Tommy Bass of Red Lick and Colon Bass of Ferriday; three brothers, Gene Bass of Slidell, Robert Bass of Church Hill and Jim Bass of Ponotoc; grandchildren Inga, Ted, Dallas Jr., Elizabeth Ann, and Nevaeh “Ali,” and four great-grandchildren. Special extended family members are Heather Tisdale of Monterey and Dora Keller of Ferriday.
