NATCHEZ — Services for Doris Anderson Patterson, 57, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon Friday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Washington with the Rev. James Beverly officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Patterson was born May 22, 1955, in Adams County, the daughter of William T. Anderson and Ester Patterson Anderson. She was a 1973 graduate of South Natchez High School and was a member of Zion Watch Baptist Church.
Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew Patterson; one son, Randerick Patterson; three brothers, William Anderson and wife, Linda, James Anderson and wife, Claretta D., and Tommy Lee Anderson; three sisters, Ernestine A. Banks, Rebecca A. Frye and husband, Andrew, all of Natchez, and Rachel Stiff and husband, Charles, of Jackson; three sisters-in-law, Jessie Patterson and Annie Patterson, both of Natchez, and Dorothy P. Fleming of Baton Rouge; one uncle, the Rev. Matthew Anderson of Natchez; three aunts, Edith Anderson, Katie Anderson, both of Natchez and Irma Jean Briggs of Texas; one godson, Thomas “BJ” Morgan Jr.; special friends, Heneritta B. James and Pricilla Smith and family; and a number of other relatives and friends.
