NATCHEZ — Services for Charles Edward Johnson, 73, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. J.L. Hammette officiating.
Burial will follow at Skinner Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 10, 1939, in Adams County, the son of Simon Johnson and Clemmie Ethel Boyd Johnson. He was formally employed by Ransom Construction Company as a carpenter.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Estelle Jackson Johnson; one daughter, Lorraine Johnson of Natchez; one son, Duraine Johnson of New Orleans; three grandchildren, Kiara Curtis, Ariel Johnson and Raymond Bassey; four sisters, Dorothy McGuire of Natchez, Cammille Green, Elosie Boleware and Ella Mae Walker, all of Texas; and a number of other relatives and friends.
