JONESVILLE — Services for James Arthur Enterkin, 86, of Jonesville, who died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Popular Springs Nursing Center in Meridian, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lismore Baptist Church with the Rev. Byron Gray and the Rev. Tony Ganey officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Enterkin was born March 9, 1926, in Jena, La., the son of Carl and Chloa Enterkin. He had worked as a tool pusher and was a member of Lismore Baptist Church.
Mr. Enterkin proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a World War II veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Enterkin; his parents; and one brother, Carl Enterkin.
Survivors include one son, Mark Enterkin and wife, Shirley, of Meridian; one daughter, Jenna Williams and husband, Kenneth, of Roxie; one sister, Betty Jo Enterkin of Jena; two grandsons, James and Steve Enterkin; two granddaughters, Kaci Shepard and Heather Enterkin; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Enterkin, Steve Enterkin, Aaron Arnold, Avery Shepard, Trevor Bolyer and Carl “Buddy” Enterkin.
