NATCHEZ — Services for Marie W. Bandy, 76, of Union Church, who died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Joe Martin officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bandy was born Sept. 20, 1936, in Acme, La., the daughter of Wilfred Emanuel White and Alberta Denny White.
Marie was always proud of her time as a Girl Scout leader when her daughters were young and of her number of years employed by McRae’s. Her life after retiring was filled with study of the Bible and devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was baptized at Community Chapel Church of God in Natchez and attended Union Church Presbyterian Church in Union Church where she lived with her daughter.
Marie was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. She loved quilting and cooking for her family and traveling across the country with her daughter. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Bandy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen Bandy; one daughter, Debbie Bandy; and one sister, Annice Pullig.
Survivors include three children, Wayne Bandy and wife, Barbara, and Becky Fulton and husband, Stacy, all of Union Church, and Kevin Bandy and wife, Regina, of Roxie; two brothers, Bill White Jr. and wife, Pat, of Groves, Texas, and Bob White of Church Hill; nine grandchildren, Scott Bandy and wife, Erin, Jason Bandy, all of Union Church, Melissa Bier and husband, Tyler, of Mandeville, La., Scott Bandy and wife, Christy, of Bude, Gina Bandy of Roxie, Colin Stacy and wife, Heather, of Dallas, Tyler Stacy, Rachel Bandy, both of Roxie, and Stacy Horton and husband, Matt, of Greenville; and seven great-grandchildren, Seth Wooley, Sam Bandy, Gabe Sebille, John Bier, Ally Bandy, Blaise Horton and Gabby Horton.
Pallbearers will be Scott Bandy, Jason Bandy, Tyler Bier, Colin Stacy, Dean White and Matt Horton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Stacy, Blaise Horton, Randy White, Skeeter Wilson, Kyle Wilson and Charlie Martin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Union Church Presbyterian Church, Crosspoint Church of Natchez, Community Chapel Church of God, Natchez, or to the Natchez Children’s Home.
