Good news was all around last week

Christmas is inching ever closer, and the temperatures this week might even begin to signal the holiday’s arrival.
In the meantime, life in the Miss-Lou is still buzzing with cheer and activities. As you enjoy your Christmas parties and shopping trips this week, take a few minutes to appreciate the good news around you.
Here are just a few great things that happened last week.
- Dancers at the Middleton School of Dance capped off months of practice with their annual production of “The Night Before Christmas.” Congratulations to the students for a job well done.
- Concordia Recreation District No. 3 and the City of Vidalia cut the ribbon on their new recreation complex and municipal complex. Both projects have been years in the making. The recreation complex is a great addition for the community’s enjoyment, and we just can’t wait for spring!
- A number of local high school football players were recognized for their achievements during the recent season, including Natchez High Bulldogs Charles Bates, Derrian Johnson and Kris Weatherspoon and Cathedral player Matthew Rymer who were all named All-State.
Congratulations on a great season.
As December clicks by, take time to enjoy your friends, family and community. It’s a great time to be in the Miss-Lou.
