SICILY ISLAND — Services for Bobby Jean Metcalf Skipper, 70, of Sicily Island, who died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Liberty Worship Center with the Rev. Lester Johnson and the Rev. John Collard officiating.

Burial will follow at Monclova Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. Skipper was born Oct. 8, 1942, in Waterproof, the daughter of Henry Kavanall Metcalf Sr. and Marguerite H. Metcalf.

Mrs. Skipper loved the Lord, hunting and being outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Dolores Mize.

Survivors include her husband, Luther Daniel Skipper Jr.; two daughters, Bobbie Lynn Dunning and husband, Frank, of Waterproof and Carrie King and husband, David King Sr., of Sicily Island; four grandchildren, Frank Dunning III, Luther Daniel Dunning, Hannah Dunning and David King Jr.; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Martha M. Sanders and husband, Billy, of St. Joseph, La., Beverly Rushing and husband, Charles, of Jonesville, Elaine Sell, Pauline Ross and husband, Buddy, all of Oak Grove, La. and “Ritsy” Simpson and husband, Dennis, of Camden; and two brothers, Henry Metcalf and wife, Pat, of Jonesville and Chuck Metcalf and wife, Susie, of Monterey.

Pallbearers will be Frank Dunning Jr., David King Sr., Frank Dunning III, Luther D. Dunning, Reuben Metcalf and Adrian Metcalf.
