NATCHEZ — Services for Andrew “Nan” Woods, 89, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in Natchez, will be at noon Saturday at Milford Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Alsworth officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Woods was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Natchez, the son of Edgar and Olivia Harris Woods. He served as a corporal in the U.S.
Mr. Woods retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company after a number of years of service. He was a member of Milford Baptist Church, Clover Hill Lodge No. 3 and the M.P.B.F.B. and L F and C Society.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Eloise Woods; two brothers, Robert “Red” Woods and Leonard “Hos” Woods.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Eric Singleton and wife, Litera, of Seattle, Wash., and Danier Cole and wife, Zelda, of Vicksburg; four grandchildren, Zoee Cole, Alexis Daniels, both of Vicksburg, Trebien Cole of Mobile, Ala., and Marcus Lilly of Crystal Springs; one aunt, Marie Rice of Natchez; one sister-in-law, Rosie Lee Woods of Natchez; one godson, Charlie M. Rice of Madison; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
