FERRIDAY — Services for Helen Irene Wimberly, 93, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Riverland Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday Wednesday with Clyde Ray Webber officiating.

Burial will follow in Wimberly Cemetery near Ringgold at 3 p.m. under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wimberly was born on October 12, 1919, in Wildsville, the daughter of Leonard Hornsby and Ollie Hornsby Quirk.

She was a resident of Ferriday, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Ferriday.

Mrs. Wimberly was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawson Wimberly; son Cary Wimberly and sister Bertha Quirk Bourgeois.

Survivors include her sons Robert Wimberly and wife, Pam, of Prairieville and Charles Wimberly and wife, Susan, of Baton Rouge; daughter-in-law Jean Wimberly of West Monroe, six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her great grandsons Van, Taylor, Devin, Jackson and Johnathan.
