NATCHEZ — Services for the Rev. Dan Henry Alexander, 55, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the Veteran Administration Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Christian Hope Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday, both at the church.
Rev. Alexander was born Jan. 26, 1957, in Natchez, the son of Dan Williams and Martha Curtis Alexander. He was a member of H.R. Revels Masonic Lodge, No. 386th Transportation Unit U.S. Army Reserve, N.A.A.C.P. and the A.M.B. Association.
Rev. Alexander was preceded in death by his mother; one brother, Jimmie L. Alexander; grandparents, Levi and Francis S. Curtis; Jessie and Alice Williams; two aunts, Mary C. White and Amelia Little; and three uncles, Willie R. Wilbert, Elbert Curtis and Levi Curtis.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Vicky Alexander; his father; one daughter, Valyncia Alexander; five sisters, Clara A. Wright and husband, Fritz, Frances A. Wallace and husband, Tommy, Mary Joyce Curtis, Jana Harried and Susan Cade, all of Natchez; four brothers, Claude Alexander and wife, Carolyn, of Houston, Texas, Clarence Little and wife, Belinda, of England, Darrell Williams and Jessie Williams, both of Chicago; and mother-in-law, Carrie Lyles of Vidalia.
