Tim and Janet “Skeeter” Loy of Fletcher, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Hayley E. Loy, to Michael R. Burson, son of Martin and Tesa Burson of Waynesville, N.C.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of T.C. Roberson High School in Asheville, N.C., and a graduate of University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is employed by Vericore in Charlotte.

She is the granddaughter of Billy and Betty Aldridge of Natchez and Harley Loy of Natchez and the late Jane Loy.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Tuscola High School in Waynesville and is also a graduate of University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is employed by University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

He is the grandson of Russell and Margaret Burson of Waynesville and Libby Baldwin of Fletcher, N.C., and the late Harry Hartis.

The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2013, at Hidden River Events in Asheville.

A reception will follow.
