NATCHEZ — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for much of the Miss-Lou, including Adams County and Concordia Parish.

A line of severe weather is approaching the Miss-Lou from the west. A rare combination of intense wind shear and unstable air will create an environment for severe thunderstorms and possible tornadoes. Damaging winds of up to 80 mph are possible.

The watch also includes Franklin and Jefferson counties along with Catahoula and Tensas parishes.
