NATCHEZ — Area teams were once again forced to adjust their baseball schedules because of wet weather Friday.
Adams County Christian School had its junior varsity and varsity games against Amite School Center canceled. ACCS head coach Hunter McKeivier said no decision has been made on whether the game will be rescheduled later in the season.
ACCS doesn’t play again until Tuesday, when the Rebels play host to Central Hinds Academy. The JV game will start at 4:30 p.m. followed by the varsity game at 6:30 p.m.
The Block High School Baseball Tournament was scheduled to take place Friday and today. However, too much rain forced head coach Stevie McCarthy to cancel all of Friday’s games.
There will be four games taking place today at the Block Tournament — Monterey vs. Harrisonburg at 10 a.m.; Harrisonburg vs. Block at noon; Monterey vs. Block at 2 p.m.; and Monterey’s junior varsity team vs. Block’s JV squad at 4 p.m.
Also, the times for today’s games at the Natchez High Classic has been rescheduled because of Friday’s inclement weather. Natchez High will now take on Franklin County at 1 p.m. and Jefferson County at 3 p.m. Those games were originally scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
