Pat and Cindy Galloway of Vidalia are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Shannon Kate Galloway to James Cole Edmiston, son of Ricky and Lori Edmiston of Choudrant, La.

The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and a 2010 graduate of Louisiana Tech University where she earned an associate of science degree in nursing.

She is employed by St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, La., as a registered nurse.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Galloway of Ferriday, Ms. Shirley Walton of Jonesville and the late Dr. Henry Walton of Russellville, Ark.

The groom-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Choudrant High School and in 2010, earned a bachelor of science degree in agriculture business with a minor in plant service.

He is employed by Southern Magnolia Landscaping in Ruston, La.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Williams Jr., Mrs. Martha Edmiston and the late Mr. Joe E. Edmiston, all of Choudrant.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2013, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ferriday.

All family and friends are invited to attend.
