VIDALIA — Funeral services for Ethel M. Brown, 86, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Hope The Vision Center with the Rev. Stanley Searcy officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at Triumph Baptist Church in Vidalia.
Mrs. Brown was born May 17, 1926 in Vidalia, the daughter of Travis and Bertha Middleton McCoy. She was a member of Triumph Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Prince Brown Sr.; one daughter, Jennifer Brown; two sons, James Brown and Alonzo Brown; two sisters, Barbara Johnson and Martha Brown, and one brother, Travis McCoy.
Survivors include five daughters, Bertha Arthunot and Alma Brown, both of Carrolton, Ga., Victoria Brown, Sondra Williams and husband, Terrence, all of Vidalia, and Gwen Victor and husband, Jervier, of Denver; three sons, Prince Brown, Johnny Brown and Everette Brown, all of Vidalia; three sisters, Ruby Dominique and husband, Wilbur, of New Orleans, Willie Mae McCoy and Shirley Rice and husband, John, all of Vidalia; twenty-two grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
