NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Helena Marietta Adams, 79, of Natchez, who died Monday, March 18, 2013 at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be noon Monday at New Hope The Vision Center with the Rev. Stanley Searcy officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Ms. Adams was born March 6, 1934 in Adams County, the daughter of Willie Adams and Pearl McGee. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Gertrude Smoot; two brothers, Joseph Adams and Wilbert Adams; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Adams and one brother-in-law, George Smoot.

Survivors include five children, Shirley Richardson and husband, Sammie, Gregory Adams, Clarence Adams, Felicia Adams and Gertrude Garrett, all of Natchez; one sister, Marguerita Adams of Natchez; 15 grandchildren, Kendrick Hawkins, Debra Adams, Gregory Adams, Jerrica Adams, Marquita Adams, Christal Chatman, Brittany Garrett, Vontrell Garrett, Regina Garrett, Gerald Garrett Jr., Keyera Adams, Cortez Adams, Chantel Adams, Julia Long and Kayla Long, all of Natchez; one niece, Debra Pittman and husband, Michael, of Houston; special cousin, Patsy McGee of Natchez; and a number of other relatives and friends.
