WESSON — Mack Smith pitched a no-hitter with five strikeouts for Wesson High as the Cobras defeated the Franklin County Bulldogs 4-0 Saturday afternoon.

Smith walked one batter and hit two batters and the defense behind him committed one error, but Franklin County was unable to get a hit off him.

Wesson took a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning and before Cullen Greer hit a three-run home run for the Cobras. Jase Alexander went 2-for-4.

Franklin County plays at 7 p.m. Tuesday at home against Prentiss.
