VICKSBURG — Avery Parman pitched a complete-game two hitter and Madison Heggins went 2-for-3 as the St. Aloysius Lady Flashes defeated the Cathedral Lady Green Wave 5-0 Tuesday afternoon in an MHSAA Region 7-1A game.

St. Aloysius was held to just five hits by Cathedral’s Mollie Devening, but five errors committed by the Lady Green Wave proved to be costly – especially in the first two innings. The Lady Flashes scored two runs in the bottom of the first and second innings and that would be all the run support Parman would need. They scored their fifth run of the game in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Devening took the loss after giving up one earned run on five hits to go with three strikeouts and two walks.

Cathedral (9-4-1, 1-1) doesn’t play again until 6 p.m. next Tuesday at West Lincoln.
