Catholic community celebrating events

NATCHEZ — Natchez Catholic community will celebrate Maundy Thursday services at 7 p.m. tonight at St. Mary Basilica.
Maundy Thursday — also known as the Mass of the Lord’s Supper — is a celebration of the Passover meal Jesus celebrated with his disciples.
The Good Friday commemorations of Jesus’ death will be 5:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Basilica, 6:30 p.m. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and 7 p.m. at Holy Family Church.
Stations of the Cross are scheduled for 12:05 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Basilica and 6 p.m. at Assumption Church.
Vigil services commemorating the resurrection of Jesus will be 5 p.m. Saturday at Assumption Church and 8 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary Basilica and Holy Family Church.
Easter services will be 8 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 8:30 a.m. at Assumption Church, 10 a.m. at St. Mary Basilica and 1 p.m. at St. John Church in Cranfield.
