Mr. and Mrs. Josh B. Callaway Jr. of Natchez announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jennie Callaway, to Dr. Jarrell Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Miller of Lexington, S.C.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of South Natchez-Adams High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. She is director of hospitality at Diamond Jacks Casino in Vicksburg.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kirby of West Monroe, La., and the late Mr. Josh B. Callaway and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Sanders of Marshall, Texas.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Clemson University and the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, College of William and Mary. He works as a research civil engineer at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center in Vicksburg.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Betty Sox and the late James W. Sox of Lexington, S.C.

The wedding will be Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Grace United Methodist Church in Natchez.
