NATCHEZ — Natchez-Adams County Metro Narcotics agents and Adams County sheriff’s deputies arrested two people with what authorities say were $10,000 worth of illegal drugs.

Stephanie Lynn Anderson, 30, 1793 Laura Ave., and Marcus Leon Crockett, 36, 2145 Vollan Way, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute Wednesday.

A news release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said the two were arrested at a local hotel after agents saw and smelled marijuana at the suspect’s room after knocking on the door and speaking with the suspects.

The search uncovered two pounds of marijuana, and agents also seized $7,000 in suspected drug money.
