NATCHEZ — Services for Albert Harper Owen, 71, of Fayette, who died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland, will be at 1 p.m. today at Stanton Baptist Church on U.S. 61 North.
Burial will follow at the Fayette Cemetery under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.
Mr. Owen was born Sept. 9, 1941, in the Olenburg community of Franklin County, the son of Walter Alexander Owen and Katherine Torrey Lehmann Owen.
Mr. Owen was a retired school teacher and was the former agriculture teacher at Bogue Chitto High School. He was a member of Stanton Baptist Church in Natchez.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma Jean Holliday Owen; one brother, Charles Owen; and one sister, Katherine Tucker.
Survivors include one son, Walter A. Owen and wife, Kathy, of El Dorado, Ark.; one daughter, Cheryl Arnold and husband, William, of Greenville; five grandchildren, Joshua Owen, Stephen Owen, Victoria Owen, Christopher Arnold and Courtney Arnold; and one nephew, Alan Tucker.
