NATCHEZ — Services for Kathleen Arbuthnot Rounds, 66, of Natchez, who died Friday, April 12, 2013, at Mississippi Baptist Hospital in Jackson, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Sibley with the Rev. Walter Sago officiating.
Burial will follow at the Rounds Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Rounds was born in Lesley, the daughter of Willie Arbuthnot and Mary Louise Tolliver Arbuthnot. She attended Wilkinson County public schools.
Mrs. Rounds was a lifelong member of Marblestone Baptist Church and served as usher. She was also affiliated with Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday.
Mrs. Rounds was a former employee at Natchez Regional Medical Center where she worked as a housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Marston and Bennie Arbuthnot.
Survivors include a loving mother and friend, Mary Louise Arbuthnot of Natchez; a devoted husband of 44 years, Joe; one daughter, Tonette Rounds Stokes of Jackson; one son, Joe Waynide Rounds and wife, Mary, of Bedford, Texas; five brothers, Georege Arbuthnot and wife, Carrie, of Baton Rouge, Wilson Arbuthnot and wife, Mattie, and James Arbuthnot, all of Natchez, Willie Arbuthnot of San Antonio, Texas and Judles Arbuthnot of New Orleans; a special brother, Louis Shivers of Grenada; five sisters, Annie Fletcher of Natchez, Mamie Travis of Prairieville, La., Judie Arbuthnot of Baton Rouge, Alesia Travis and husband, Darren, of Brandon and Aletia Arbuthnot of Jackson; two brothers-in-law, Isaiah Rounds and Lee Rounds and wife, Gladys; two sisters-in-law, Helen Lewis and Angie Fitzgerald, all of Natchez; two special nieces, Wortha Woods and husband, Robert, of Natchez and Susie Rounds of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Darien, Cameron, Donovan, Morgan and Madisyn; her adopted family, Cliff, Joanna, Cooper and Tatum Brumfield; four aunts; one uncle; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
