SICILY ISLAND — Graveside services for Leona LaValle Newman Robinson, 65, of Clayton, who died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Highland Cemetery in Sicily Island with the Rev. Jerry Sharp officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mrs. Robinson was born Oct. 23, 1947, the daughter of Truman Marvin and Clara Estelle Flord King. She was a member of Sunnyside Church of Foules, La.

Mrs. Robinson was a homemaker and an avid fisherman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Newman; one daughter, Kelly Newman Cowan; two brothers, Truman King Jr. and William King; and two sisters, Patsy Truman and Bet King.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Robinson; three children, LaJuana Hilliard and husband, David, Crystal Newman and her boyfriend, Tony Brocato, and LaDonna Zoellner and husband, Howard, of Marble Head, Md.; five grandchildren, Laura Delaughter, James Michael Hilliard, Melanie Hilliard, Bridget Delaughter and Dalton Cowan; three great-grandchildren, Bradley Robinson, Morgan Robinson and Mallory Hilliard; and five sisters, Pee Wee Wiley, Mary Bankney, Ann Pitts, Ramoth Kaye Russell and Joy McDaniel.
