NATCHEZ — Two men whose alleged stealing of a truck and $40,000 in tools was caught earlier this week by a deer camera are behind bars after being arrested in Texas.
According to an Adams County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, the ACSO received a call Sunday that a 2011 Ford F-150 with $40,000 in oil field tools had been stolen from the Aldridge Operation Company on Providence Road.
A deer camera on the property captured an image of the vehicle leaving the area at 1:26 a.m. Sunday, and the spokesperson said ACSO investigators were able to determine through investigation that the suspects were Justin Ferrill and Casey Meng Shivers.
The vehicle information was entered into the National Crime Information Center stolen vehicle database.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office recovered the vehicle Thursday after running its plates based on the bulletin put out for it, Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said.
The two suspects were arrested and will be extradited to Adams County.
The tools that were taken were reportedly not found.
