ROXIE — Services for Charles Edward Jackson Sr., 63, of Roxie, who died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. today at East Roxie Church of Christ with the Rev. Isaac Tenner officiating.

Burial will follow at Salem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Jackson was born Oct. 14, 1949, in Fayette, the son of Pete and Katie Thompson Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Virginia Flowers Jackson; one brother, James Douglas “J.D.” Jackson; and one grandson, Wakil Charles.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Buck Jackson; one daughter, LaToyia Lynette Jackson; one son, Charles Edward Jackson Jr. and wife, April; five grandchildren, Geovonnie David, Charity Grace, Harmony Virginia, Germanikka Amiracle and Ghaniyia Katie-Virnesia; one sister, Catherine Tenner; one brother, Ernest Lee Hunter; seven nieces, Bobbie Bethea and husband, Leroy, Bettye Washington and husband, Jeff, Mary “Det” Tenner, Diane Tenner, Deborah “Bebe” Tenner, Gwen “Fussie” Tenner and Jackie “Sweetie” Tenner; four nephews, Tommie Tenner and wife, Doris, Clarence “Ed” Tenner and wife, Annie, James “Jimmie” Washington and wife, Rose, and Fred Washington and wife, Anna; and a number of other relatives and friends.
