NATCHEZ — Services for Donnie James Atwood, 58, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 29, 2013, in Arlington, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Purvis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Atwood was born May 27, 1954, in Natchez, the son of George Joseph Atwood and Rose Mary Krueger Atwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Atwood; and one sister, Joanna Whaley.

Survivors include three children, Jamie Atwood, Brian Atwood and Melissa Atwood Argue, all of Virginia; one brother, Robert Atwood of Natchez; one sister, Judy Rester and husband, Raymond, of Arlington; 10 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Atwood, Purvis Wilson, Mike Bradshaw, Daniel Robinson, Raymond Rester and Tim Radcliff.
