FAYETTE — Services for Jessie Bell Durrell, 108, of Fayette, who died Monday, April 29, 2013, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home.
Visitation, for the family only, will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ms. Durrell was born July 8, 1904, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Jeff Durrell and Bella Williams. She was a homemaker and attended St. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church and served as a deaconess.
Survivors include one son, Robert Barnes of Fayette; two daughters, Martha Robinson of Baton Rouge and Cynthia Doss and husband, Charles, of Fayette; one adopted daughter, Dorothy Guice and husband, Arthur, of Baton Rouge; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
