NATCHEZ — Shortly after making a small charitable gesture Wednesday, an Adams County resident was robbed at gunpoint in his house.

Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a robbery on Old Meadow Road at 12:49 p.m. Wednesday.

ACSO Public Information Officer Courtney Taylor said the victim told investigators that just before the robbery, a young woman came to the door asking the victim for $2, which he gave her.

Shortly after that, a young man brandishing what the victim described to investigators as “a yellow gun” came to the house, forcing the victim onto the floor and taking his wallet, Taylor said.

No arrests have been made, but the matter is under investigation.
