JONESVILLE — Services for William Carlton Maier, 48, of Jonesville, who died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lismore Baptist Church in Jonesville with the Rev. Byron Gray officiating.

Burial will follow at Pease Cemetery in Larto, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Maier was born Nov. 23, 1964, in Jonesville, the son of Jimmie Maier Sr. and Margaret Gertrude Hastings.

He was preceded in death by his father and infant grandson, Tyler Mathew Spence Jr.

Survivors include his mother of Natchez; one son, Willie Maier Jr. of Youngsville, La.; two daughters, Lindsey Maier of Jonesville and Michelle Maier of Youngsville, La.; four sisters, Roxie Eddy of Jonesville, Tracy Bolyer of Vidalia, Veronica Shipley of Ridgecrest and Bionca Book of Monterey; and one brother, Jimmie Maier Jr. and wife, Jeanell, of Lismore.

Pallbearers will be L.V. Bolyer, Darren Hatten, Jessie Sharp, Herman Wiley, James Davis and Charlie Harris.

Honorary pallbearer will be Gerald Day.
